A Bio About Myself

Hey there, hi there, ho there! I'm Ryan Bannon (aka WaltWiz), and I'm both an artist and animation fan!I hail from the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area (therefore making me a US citizen) and am of Irish/Scottish/Polish/German descent.My birthday falls on April 2nd.Aside from the two classifications mentioned above, I am also a photographer, photo editor, scholar, and writer.I was a student in Ocean County Vocational-Technical School (or OCVTS for short) and am certified in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Currently, I'm aiming to land myself a (preferably part-time) job that has to do with at least one of the things I'm most interested in.

  • Classic cinema

  • Television animation (Peanuts, The Simpsons, many Disney Television Animation shows, Nicktoons [particularly pre-2009], Cartoon Network shows [The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, etc.], Arthur, etc.)

  • Almost anything Muppet-related (Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, etc.) and Muppet-adjacent

  • Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and The Railway Series

  • Stop-motion (Rankin/Bass, Bob the Builder, etc.)

  • Most of the kids' shows I grew up watching (Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Reading Rainbow, etc.)

  • Classic comics (Peanuts, Disney comics by the likes of Floyd Gottfredson and Carl Barks, Big Nate, etc.)

  • Children's books (the works of Dr. Seuss, Magic Tree House, Junie B. Jones, Harry Potter, the works of Dav Pilkey, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, etc.)...

  • ...and books in general!

  • Theme park design...

  • ...but especially that of the Disney Parks

If you've known me for a while or have gotten the hint from my list of hobbies, you probably already know this, but for those who don't, well, let me tell you......I love art!Below is a portfolio of the artwork I've done (particularly my personal favorites of the bunch), projects I've done for vocational school, and my photography.

Dos and Don'ts

  • I do accept constructive criticism and suggestions on how to make my art better...

  • ...but I do not accept condescending or rude remarks aimed directly at me.

  • I will accept paid commissions...

  • ...but I will not accept any crypto crap. (I seriously don't get it!)

  • "Artwork" made with generative AI (artificial intelligence) is also a big no for me, whether it be as the end result of a request/commission of mine or persuading me to try it out (and if you know me well, you should know that I would never resort to it, even if faced with art block).

  • Absolutely no pedophilia or NSFW

  • Don't even think about getting too overtly political with me!

  • While I do accept discussing art with prejudices of their time and how said prejudices are wrong today (after all, censoring them would be the same as implying they never existed), I don't condone people being racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, or anti-Semitic in their own right...and I certainly don't agree with people who use their autism as an excuse for crappy behavior!
